Alocasia ‘Cuprea’ Albo/Pink Variegated *Grower’s Choice*

Alocasia ‘Cuprea’ Albo / Pink Variegated is a rare variegated form of Alocasia cuprea, valued for its distinctive metallic foliage and nuanced coloration. The thick, shield-shaped leaves have a rigid, lacquered surface with a copper-to-bronze sheen, overlaid with irregular Albo white and translucent pink variegation. Because the leaf underside is a deep purple-red, pink tones often appear softly illuminated through the blade, creating a subtle stained-glass effect as the foliage matures. Upright, sturdy petioles contribute to a compact, architectural growth habit. This plant performs best in bright, indirect light with a well-draining, aerated substrate, consistently high humidity, and warm, stable temperatures. Growth is measured and individual, with each leaf developing unique patterning, making this cultivar appreciated for its sculptural presence and rarity rather than uniformity or speed.
